Green Depot - San Francisco

Our mission is to bring the economic, health, and environmental benefits of biodiesel to San Francisco residents, focusing on some of the neighborhoods hardest hit by toxic diesel pollution - Bayview Hunters Point and Potrero. Through our efforts as a not-for-profit education and advocacy organization we are:

  • Assisting fueling stations owners in bringing biodiesel to the pump.
  • Working with fleets owners and individual drivers to facilitate their transition to biodiesel.
  • Increasing awareness of biodiesel as an environmental justice solution for communities suffering from diesel-caused asthma, cancer, and other health problems.

  • The City of San Francisco's entire diesel fleet, including MUNI, the SF Zoo, Airport Shuttles, and Fire Department are using biodiesel, now you can too!

    Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program
    Call for Year 10 Project Applications

    The Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program (Carl Moyer Program) is a
    voluntary program that offers grants to owners of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
    The program is a partnership between the California Air Resources Board (ARB) and the
    local air districts throughout the state. Locally the Bay Area Air Quality Management District
    (Air District) administers the Carl Moyer program. The purpose of the program is to reduce air
    pollution emissions from heavy-duty engines. Grants are available for projects that:

    * Install particle traps,
    * Replace older heavy-duty engines with newer and cleaner engines and add a particle trap,
    * Purchase new vehicles or equipment that is cleaner than the law requires,
    * Replace heavy-duty equipment with electric equipment, and
    * Install electric idling-reduction equipment.
